elcome to my Adam-12 website. In this site I hope you will find some very useful information about Adam-12 and the equipment that the LAPD used back in the mid to late 60's.
In the pages that follow I provide information as to what was used on and in the police cars and links to other great Adam-12 and police websites.

What is it I hear the most at car shows and in emails? "That show is why I became a cop". What amazes me is just how many people the show Adam-12 influenced so much, that when they grew up they became the police officers they loved to watch. I hope Kent McCord and Martin Milner know just how many police officers are on the streets of America and the world because of them and the show. They can be proud of the job they did on and off the show for years. As a matter of fact Kent McCord is still very active with the LAPD and numerous different charities. You can find the latest news for him on his website. The link is on my links page. Those of us that are fans of Adam-12 and the LAPD are thankful they did what they did.

Now, I found most of this information from a lot of Internet searching and picking the brains of some really good people that I've met along the way when I made my own 1969 Adam-12 replica (pictured above). If you are planning on making your own Adam-12 replica or any old Los Angeles police car my intent is that you will find most of the information you need on this website. And if you can't find it here then I've include links to other great Adam-12 and police websites which will also help. If you have any questions please email me.

About me....I was ten when I watched Adam-12 on the old 19 inch TV while laying on the living room floor wanting to be a great police officer like Reed and Malloy when I grew up. Fast forward... It was the best, hardest and most rewarding job I've ever had. I'm now retired and one of the lucky ones who now owns a replica Adam-12 car. Right back to where it all started. Thank you Jack Webb, Kent McCord and Martin Milner for inspiring me to do what I loved.

In honor of Adam-12's 45th anniversary we are Calling out ALL Adam-12 car owners. We are planning the ultimate road trip to Los Angeles, California in the fall of 2013 driving our Adam-12 replica's. Here is what we have now. I will depart from Michigan on Sept. 25th 2013. We will be in L.A. for 5 days from Sept. 30 - Oct. 5th. We will meet up with other cars on the way out west at which time you will join the caravan. If you live east of MI then we will meet up with you on your way west. The amount of days will vary depending on where you live. We are planning on 5 days out and 5 back from Michigan. I will work with each car owner as to where and when our meet up point will be.

-- While in Los Angeles we will be touring a lot of the area's where they filmed the show. The Rampart station is still there but the building is vacant. We maybe be able to get access to the parking area for pictures with our Adam-12 cars there. I'll be working on hopefully doing something with the LAPD.

-- One day we hope to have a lunch with many of the people that worked on the show. Including Tom Williams and Sharron cartilage along with others.

-- Dave Skyler will do an interview with us at CBS for LAMediaWatch.com. If all works out, we may have special guest(s) on the interview show. Also one of Dave's friends has agreed to donate her film crew to tag along with us as needed. Plus the producers of Entertainment tonight and/or Inside edition maybe interested in doing a story on us while we are in L.A..

-- We have been invited to participate in the Hollywood 10-4 days events in L.A. and I will post all the info. on that event soon. Very cool!

While we have a ton of fun stuff planned we will also have down time as well to enjoy L.A. and surrounding area's (beaches). Remember the amount of days will vary depending on where you live. We are planning on 5 days out and 5 back from Michigan. I will work with each car owner as to where and when our meet up point will be.

If you want to be apart of this event but can't commit to that much time is very understandable. Anyone that wants to cruise along with us for the amount of time that you can are welcome. We would still love to have you join us when and where ever you can.

Also if anyone that maybe interested in going on this trip but are without an Adam-12 car we are in need of a chase vehicles to be used as our spare parts Dept. among other things. Please contact me if you are interested. We have two so far. Unfortunately we can't help with any costs involved.

I don't think it's an understatement to call this a "Once in a lifetime" road trip. You have worked a lot of hours and spent even more money to get your car the way it is so let America see it. Call your shotgun rider and Join us on this monumental road trip. Every owner that makes this trip will get a plaque stating you were a part of this event. Compliments of the website.

Some things may be added or subtracted as things are finalized. I know this is only months away now so get your time off now and buy flowers for the significant other and lets make it happen.  We have 4 Adam-12 cars already lined up for the trip and hope for more to be added. If you know an Adam-12 car owner that may not know about this trip yet please pass the info. along to them. Updates will be posted here as needed. See you on the road soon!!

                                                           "JJ"

At a show last summer (2012) a good friend of mine Ross Urtel who had his police car at the show also had his Dog "JJ" who decided to take a rest next to my car. Great pic and he's a really cool and beautiful dog.
